Song Without Words
Song Without Words
Spindler was a German composer of the nineteenth century. He wrote many short pieces for students in the
first stages of learning to play the piano.
As in 'Scarborough Fair', the piece flows in a triple metre but this time it is 3/8 (three quaver beats in a bar).
The melody is always in the R.H. but it contains quite a few longer notes if is too slow it will be difficult to
hear the flow of the melody and the piece will start to drag. It is also important that the L.H. does not become
too loud.
