Air Conditioning System

Before starting system precaution should be taken

The basing or tank of cooling tower of the air conditioning system


installed near the dearator floor of unit 1 should be filled with the water.
o for make up of basing the one tank also given which is to filled and
this tank is filled by
o ventilation pump placed at DM plant.
Venting of cooling water line is to be done. Vent valve is placed at 24.5 mtr
height in the cooling line.
o for make up of cooling water line one tank also situated near above
mention tank
which is also filled by water.
ensure 2.5 kg of pressure in suction line of condenser pump and cooling
water pump.

Step to start AC system

start cooling tower fan.


Condenser water pump (any one among 3)
Start Chillers Unit any one
after 10 min. starting Chillers unit start the cooling water pump
start AHU system as per requirement.

what is to be monitor for healthy operation of AC system

every hour check pump, motor and chillers vibration, abnormal sound
All motor current ( AHU bower, condenser water pump, cooling water
pump etc.)
condenser pump motor maximum current rating is 44 amp.
