Scope & Limitation

This study will examine the physiological patterns of compulsive and non-compulsive video game users among high school students. It will describe students based on demographics like grade level, age, gender as well as average meals, sleep, water intake, and elimination. Using a descriptive correlational design from August to October 2011, the study will survey first to fourth year high school students ages 12 to 16 at Ramon Magsaysay National High School about their video game usage and physiological habits.

Scope and Limitation

This research study will be conducted to


determine the physiologic patterns of
compulsive users and non-compulsive users
of video games among high school students.
Specifically, it will be conducted to describe
the respondents as to demographic
characteristics such as year level, age and
gender, average number of meals, average
number of hours of sleep, average number
of water intake and average number of
elimination (urination and defecation) of
compulsive users and non compulsive users
of videogames.
The design that will be used in this study
is descriptive correlational in nature to
determine the physiologic patterns of
compulsive users and non-compulsive users
of videogames from August to October
2011. Included in this study are first year,
second year, third year and fourth year high

school students who are twelve to sixteen


years of age of Ramon Magsaysay National
High School who are permitted to
participate in the process and those who
passed
the
initial
assessment
of
compulsiveness. High school students who
do not belong to the said age group are
excluded. The samples will be drawn
through stratified random sampling then
simple random sampling. The respondents
will be selected based on the first hand
experiences on the topic of interest of the
study. Data will be obtained through a
researcher made survey form.
The study focused on the physiologic
patterns (meal, sleep, water intake, and
elimination) and the compulsive users and
non-compulsive users of videogames
among high school students ages twelve to
sixteen.
