Troubleshooting in Pumps and Motor

This document discusses troubleshooting issues with pumps. Some common issues include less or no discharge, which can result from the pump casing not being fully filled with water, the discharge head being too high, air entering the suction pipe through improper joints, a high suction head, or an improperly sized foot valve. Vibration in a pump can be caused by problems with the pump's foundation, improper alignment, water hammer effect, a damaged impeller, or high suction pressure. Noise may indicate damaged or worn bearings.
