Jalandhar stations of PJPL project.

PROCEDURE NO: - INDCON-PJPL-STN-PNP-CIVIL-23

Grassing with doob grass and planting hedges shall be carried out
after preparation of the soil by mixing the manure. The manure used
for grassing of doob and planting hedges shall be dry and shall be of
well decayed organic and vegetable matters.
The manure sieved through sieve I.S. designation 20 mm, shall be
used. The bed shall first be excavated to a depth of 30 cm. The
trench shall be refilled by the mixture of earth and manure in the
proportion specified, leveled neatly and profusely flooded.
The surface after full subsidence shall be refilled with the mixture of
earth and manure. The bed for hedges shall be generally prepared to
a width of 60 cm to 125 cm. The hedges shall be planted at 7.5 cm
spacing on either side.
For lawn, doob grass shall be planted at 7.5 cm apart in rows in either
direction, watered and maintained for 30 days.
