Welcome to Addition-Subtraction Bingo


I don't think you need to go over the rules of Bingo, but I thought I'd give you some
suggestions for using the cards:

Print out all 6 cards for the Addition/Subtraction Bingo Game, (we took ours
to Kinko's and had them laminatedthat way they were permanentthe color
stays brilliant; stains wipe off easily; and they are less likely to get torn or, as my
kids affectionately say messed-up :-). You can get all 6 cards laminated for a
small amount of money..
We tried to use creative items to cover the bingo squaresaquarium glass oval
beads; M&Ms; pennies; goldfish crackers, poker chips, etcyou get the idea
Take your flash cardsshuffle them well, then call out the math problem on the
card
Make it FUN! Invite the neighborhood children in to play; include siblings; have
the child call out and you, the teacher mark the squares (you would be amazed at
how much the child enjoys this role reversal and still actually learns :-)
Give prizes--(i.e., winner gets his/her bed made the next day; or a packet of fruit
snacks; or a treat from the Dollar Store, etc) Friendly competition is a great
means of making it fun as well as encouraging the struggling child to work harder
We played math bingo at least once a week during First & Second . You can
never overdrill your student in math basics. You want these skills sooo ingrained
that your child can whip-out the answer before you finish quoting the math
problem. :-)
