Since the SSL certificate at soemail.cs.ucdavis.

edu can't be verified you might get the following error when using soThunder:

Don't worry the fix is quite easy.

1. On a Mac, go to Thunderbird->Preferences->Advanced->Certificates. In Windows, go to Tools->Options->Advanced->Certificates. Click View Certificates, and the Certificate Managerdialog window should open.

2. Select the Servers tab, and then click Add Exception.

3. In Location, type: soemail.cs.ucdavis.edu. Click Get Certificate. Make sure Permanently store this exception is checked. Click Confirm Security Exception. Click OK to close the Certificate Manager. Close the Advanced or Options Dialog box.

4. The Certificate manager should now look as this:
