5. Excitation Current measurement

Working Principle:

A three-phase supply of 440 is applied through a variac. The voltage is increased from zero at a
step of 10 volts. At each step we measure the current by using the true-rms multimeter
(manufacturer - FLUKE). After taking the readings we plot the data and get the EXCITATION
CURRENT CURVE.
