The document describes a 72-YD Power Drive Coil Taping Machine that aims to improve taping consistency while reducing operator strain. Some key features include a variable speed drive, bi-directional taping, and controlled tape overlap. The machine uses soft rubber drive rollers to firmly clamp coils and link them to the tape head, allowing operators to easily produce tight tape wraps with consistent overlap regardless of speed. An adjustable ratio controller also maintains the desired tape overlap no matter the speed.

Operator Friendly, More Ergonomic Coil Taping This new machine eliminates most of the stress on operators as they move the coil around the tape head. Sturdy, soft rubber drive rollers clamp the coil firmly to support most of the coil weight. They are linked by a ratio controller to the tape head to provide a tight tape wrap with consistent overlap. Now anybody with just minimal training can produce high quality coil taping results! Our new Power Drive 72-YD Taping Machine is generating a lot of interest with coil manufacturers that have trouble finding skilled operators to tape their coils manually. With this machine even new operators will produce tight wraps with consistent tape overlap. Easily Adjustable Ratio Controller Maintains Overlap No Matter What The Speed! Simple push button interface lets the operator set whatever tape overlap is desired. No matter how fast the operator makes the tape head go by pressing on the foot pedal, the tape overlap remains perfect. Bi-Directional Tape Head Speeds Application of Multiple Tape layers Push a switch and the machine reverses direction to enable your operator to quickly and easily apply another tape layer to the coil. Regardless of the direction the coil is moving, the tape overlap is maintained. A pneumatic control lever activates the soft rubber clamping rollers. A second control slides the drive tower out of the way so the operator can manipulate the coil to tape around the knuckle. Operators like how the 72YD Power Drive Machine effortlessly moves the coil through the tape head while maintaining tape overlap. One foot pedal controls the drive rollers, a second pedal changes the taping direction. The extra large table top provides plenty of space for tools, spare tape rolls and finished coils.
