Marshall Ejector

This motorized sample ejector uses a 5-ton hydraulic pump and ram assembly to remove samples from molds and tubes. It can accommodate both standard 4” and 6” compaction molds as well as taller gyratory molds. The main components include the pump assembly, frame assembly, and interchangeable ejector discs and rings for 4” and 6” molds. To operate, connect the hose from the pump to the cylinder, engage the ejector disc and ring with the mold, and run the pump to push the sample out of the mold. Routine maintenance involves checking and maintaining the proper oil level in the jack.

Set Up
Remove the rubber covers from the quick disconnect ttings on the end of the

Be sure to relieve the pressure in the hose by putting the lever on the pump valve
to the return position before connecting hose to cylinder.
Plug pump into correct outlet for the pump power rating.
Activate the pump with either the button in the handle or the button on the wired
remote.
If you activate the pump with the lever on the pump valve in the return position

Place the mold with sample into the disk and raise the jack to bring the mold into
engagement with the top ring. Continue applying force by operating the jack handle to
push the sample from the mold.
Maintenance
Inspect the oil ll hole and maintain oil level to the bottom of the screw hole with jack in
the upright position. Use hydraulic jack oil available in local auto supply stores.
