Club Features
The Club
Cottrell Park’s Clubhouse, is built in the style of a prestigious Parkland Estate and provides a friendly and comfortable atmosphere in
which to relax, after a hard days’ work or play! The Clubhouse has a rustic but cosy feel to it with exposed wooden beams and
flagstones, it offers the ideal venue for family and business meals alike. Merrick's Bar is named after Rice Merrick a 16th Century
genealogist and antiquarian.
Our dinning room, Tyler's Cabin, is named after Admiral Sir Charles Tyler, who resided at Cottrell during the 19th Century, at
Trafalgar he served under the command of his friend, Horatio Nelson, where he captained HMS Tonnant.
The Tyler's Conservatory is most popular for smaller Conferences and Meetings as it provides a comfortable environment with
excellent views over the Button Gwinnett Course. This room can be set up in various styles and can seat up to 60 delegates in Theatre
Style. It also boasts all the latest Equipment including a Laptop Projector mounted on the ceiling, Automatic Screen and Music System.
The Course
The Mackintosh course, is named after Alfred Donald Mackintosh of Mackintosh the 28th Chief of Clan Mackintosh and Chief of Clan
Chattan, who resided at Cottrell during the 19th and 20th Centuries. The course provides 6,407 challenging yards off the white tees
and has been designed around the original features of the rolling parkland, including a Roman Motte. This championship course has
been selected for a number of Welsh Golf Union and Welsh Ladies Golf Union events as well as County Matches, which is indeed a
compliment to a course so young. The Mackintosh course will test golfers of all standards to the best of their abilities.
