École Glenbrook Middle School Information Regarding "Incomplete Day"

Students at École Glenbrook Middle School have an "Incomplete Day" on November 21, 2014 to finish late work, redo assignments, and complete tests. This day is for students who have received an "I" or Incomplete report from their teacher, indicating they are at risk of failing a subject. Parents must sign a form acknowledging their child needs to improve or does not have incomplete work. The form also allows parents to give permission for their child to leave school early once all work is complete. Completing assignments by this date is important so grades on the term report card do not result in an Incomplete.

Information Regarding Incomplete Day

Student:

Div: E1

Teacher(s): Mme Rexin

Date: November 14, 2014

Dear Parent(s) / Guardian(s),

On Friday, November 21, 2014 students at GMS have an Incomplete Day. This is a day focused on
finishing and submitting late work, redoing work and completing tests to meet expectations. Students are
expected to attend Incomplete Day when they are missing a significant amount of work resulting in a
subject teacher issuing an I (Incomplete) report. The I report (attached) is a support plan for students
who are or may be at-risk of failing one or more subjects. If a student does not hand in or complete the
assignment(s) the grade on the report card for the term may result in an Incomplete. Completion of the
learning outcomes to an acceptable standard for each course is very important for each student. Of
course, all students are welcome to attend school on this day to work on their studies.
Please ask your child or check if they have been assigned any Incomplete Reports since the report is
expected to be signed and returned to the subject teacher. Students often misplace notices or Incomplete
Reports. We need to know that you have received all of the information that the school has sent home
about your child.
On Friday, November 21, 2014 students are expected to arrive at 8:40 and work through any
outstanding work as outlined in their I report. Some students will have submitted some of the work
outlined in the I report before this date. Students are to report to their homebase first for attendance
purposes and check in at the office when they leave.
Once the required work for all required subjects is complete students may go home prior to 2:59 only if
written permission or notification on the form below is given by the parent and they have checked
out at the office. All regular school rules apply during an Incomplete Day, including the restrictions on
leaving the school campus at lunch time.
