This document provides a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis for three potential ending ideas for a thriller film opening sequence. The sequence involves a protagonist named Jake who finds himself in an abandoned workshop with injuries and a phone, being told he has 60 seconds to remove a capsule from his penis or it will explode. The three ending ideas are: cutting to black and leaving the audience on a cliffhanger; Jake being unable to remove the capsule in time and it exploding; and Jake weakly crying for help as a countdown occurs before the capsule explodes. Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats are then listed for each idea.

SWOT Analysis
Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats

General Idea: Jake (protagonist) is placed in an abandoned workshop with blood all over his
leg, face and nose, unaware of what has happened to him. Analysing the surroundings, he
finds a welcome mat next to him with a phone, a chisel, a hammer and an x-ray placed on it.
The phone begins to ring and he answers it, a message is said from the antagonist stating that
there is a capsule in Jakes penis and he will have 60 seconds to take it out, otherwise the
capsule will blow up.
Ending:
Idea One: After hearing the message, Jake is stressed out but reaches for the hammer
and chisel, he places it where the capsule is shown on the x-ray, without showing what
is happening next, the screen cuts to black; leaving the audience in a cliff hanger.

Idea Two: Jake is scared and doesnt have the strength to remove the capsule as he
is in shock. He pleads and cries for help and says he will never place challenges on
anyone again, but cannot be heard. The clock is ticking in the background, the 60
seconds are up and the scene cuts to a black screen, ending with Jake screaming.

Idea Three: Jake tries to call the number back, but realises it was on unknown. He
begins to panic, and tries to get attention by banging on a door, hoping someone will
open it. Instead, he feels weak and trembles to floor. There is a countdown in the
background, 3...2...1... And the capsule begins to beep. Jake cries in pain and the
screen is cut to black.
