Electrical Engineering Department Merlimau Polytechnic Computer Aided Design (Ec202) Practical Work: Topic: Objectives

This document provides instructions for a computer aided design practical work session on modify commands in AutoCAD. It outlines objectives to use commands like erase, move, copy, rotate, break, trim, scale, mirror, array, stretch, extend, fillet, chamfer and offset. It describes setting up a new drawing with defined limits and units before demonstrating how to use each modify command through examples and step-by-step procedures. Students will practice these commands to modify basic drawings and create technical drawings. Their work will be evaluated based on criteria like presentation, description of questions and answers, discussion, conclusion and accurate shape and size descriptions of the modified drawings.

5. Apply the modify command using toolbar menu.
LIST OF EQUIPMENT :
1. Desktop computer/ laptop
2. AutoCAD software
THEORY

AutoCAD drawings are not simply draw by drawing lines, circle, rectangular etc. You need to modify these
basic drawing in order to create the image. You have to using MODIFY commands. The Modify tools can
be accessed through keyboard, pull-down menu and toolbar menu.

PROCEDURES
