 Use of Different Kinds of Function Key


F1 Help Displays help for the active tooltip, command,
dialog box, etc.
F2 Expand History Displays an expand command history in the
command window.
F3 Object Snap Turns object snap on and off.
F4 3D Object Snap Turns additional object snaps for 3D on and
off.
F5 Isoplane Cycles through 2D isoplane settings.
F6 Dynamic UCS Turns automatic UCS alignment with planar
surfaces on and off.
F7 Grid Display Turns the grid displays on and off.
F8 Ortho Locks cursor movement to horizontal or
vertical.
F9 Grid Snap Restricts cursor movement to specified grid
intervals.
F10 Polar Tracking Guides cursor movement to specified angles.
F11 Object Snap Tracking Tracks the cursor horizontally and vertically
from object snaps locations.
F12 Dynamic Input Displays distances and angles near the cursor
and accepts input as you use the tab between
fields.

 Line Command
 Absolute Co-ordinate Method
1. Type ‘L’ at command bar
2. Specify first point as ‘X1, Y1’ [e.g. 10, 10 or 20, 10]
3. Move the cursor in the direction you want to draw
4. Specify second point as ‘X2, Y2’ [e.g. 20, 10 or 20, 30]
5. Press ‘ESC’ if you do not want to continue
6. To continue repeat steps 3 and 4
7. To close type ‘C’ at command bar
8. To undo type ‘U’ at command bar
 Relative co-ordinate Method
1. Type ‘L’ at command bar
2. Specify first point by clicking on the screen
3. Move the cursor in the direction you want to draw
4. Specify second point as ‘@ CHANGE IN X, CHANGE
IN Y’
5. Press ‘ESC’ if you do not want to continue
6. To continue repeat steps 3 and 4
7. To close type ‘C’ at command bar
8. To undo type ‘U’ at command bar

 Polar Co-ordinate Method


1. Type ‘L’ at command bar
2. Specify first point by clicking on the screen
3. Move the cursor in the direction you want to draw
4. Specify second point as ‘@ LENGTH < ANGLE’
5. Press ‘ESC’ if you do not want to continue
6. To continue repeat steps 3 and 4

 Direct Distance Method
