To ensure complete solubility of selected fragrance, premix appropriate amount of Fragrance into
STEPANOL ABHS-15C. Mix until homogeneous. In a separate container, charge vessel with three
parts Deionized Water and add one part STEPANOL ABHS-15C. Mix until homogeneous. Adjust pH
of mixture to approximately 6.07.0 (target 6.5) with Citric Acid. Adjust viscosity with Sodium Chloride.
For best results, adjust pH prior to adding Sodium Chloride. Add appropriate amount of Dye. Mix until
completely dissolved. Add selected Preservative. Mix until homogeneous.
Note: Remember to test all fragrances, dyes, and salt on a lab scale first. If your test batch becomes
hazy, you've probably added too much salt and/or fragrance. Try another test batch with less salt
and/or fragrance.
*If higher viscosities (>2000 cps) are desired, Methocel J40MSN (Dow Chemical) may be added with
NaCl.
