Aneventisanobjecttypecomponent.ThelistofpossibleeventsisdefinedwiththerelevantobjecttypeintheBusinessObjectBuilder.Thislistcanbeextendedaccordingtocustomerrequirementsusing
thedelegationconcept.Theactualcreationoftheeventsaddedmustbecateredfor.Eventscanstart,terminateorcontinuetasksandworkflows.Examplesofeventsare:

Purchaseorderreleased
TriggeringEvent
Eventwhoseoccurrencestartsataskoraworkflow.Theeventmustbeenteredasatriggeringeventforthetaskorworkflowthatistobestarted.Theeventlinkagemustbeactivated.A
taskorworkflowcanhaveseveraltriggeringevents.Informationfromtheeventcreationcontextcanbepassedinthebindingfromtheeventcontainertothetaskcontainerorworkflow

Aeventiscreatedfromanyapplicationprogram.Multiplereceiversarepossibleforaevent.Wheneveryouwanttouseaeventinyourworkflowthenthatparticulareventmustbedefinedintheappropriate
BusinessObject(ObjectType)orintheBusinessClass(ABAPclassesthataresupportedbyworkflows).
StartWorkflowbyTriggeringaevent
Youcanstartaworkflowwhenaeventistriggeredbyspecifyingthebusinessobjectanditsassociatedeventinthebasicdataoftheworkflow.
IntheBasicdataoftheworkflowwecanevenspecifythenameoftheclassanditsrelatedeventasthetriggeringevent.
