Senior Project Architect
This is a full time role reports to the Principal in Charge. The role includes (but is not limited to) leading Shanghai based
teams in the design and delivery of various project types and scope, acting as the primary client contact, facilitating
coordination between US and China based design teams, mentoring junior and intermediate staff, presenting design
submissions at various stages of the project to clients, government officials and contractors; and assisting in business
development activities on occasion as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
The objective of this role is to execute projects for Perkins Eastman clients successfully by managing a team
(or teams) and all phases of the projects.
Manage small to large projects independently as well as part of a team
Manage the client relationship and managing expectations
Manage a team and coordinate consultants, including LDI
Manage team productivity
Create projects in Vision
Key Skills:
Registered Architect (overseas or China)
Bachelor of Architecture degree or greater required
Over 10 years experience and at least 8 years post registration experience
Wide experience managing large scale and complex projects
Ability to lead and manage project teams
Ability to manage and maintain client relationships
Ability to lead and coordinate project consultant teams
Have sound technical knowledge
Experience in reviewing drawings and coordinating work with Chinese Design Institutes
Ability to work with faade consultants to ensure the architectural design is achieved
Experience in reviewing shop drawings by contractors
Extensive knowledge of building materials and construction technology, good knowledge of the curtain wall
framing, its material and installation
Good knowledge of CAD and experience in REVIT
Team player
