Lesson: Explain how understand DOK Level help prepare students for

test.

Objective 1: Learners will understand DOK Questioning helps classify the


knowledge level of a student.
1A: The learner will classify knowledge level of a subject
1B: The learner will observe how DOK level questioning prepares students for
District and State Assessments

Audience: Faculty and Staff at Lilburn Middle School

Work Session: Learners will explain how DOK Question Levels help prepare students
for test.

UDL:

Implementation of visual aids to support learning

Added differentiation:
Foster collaboration and community

Assessment:
Learners will examine test samples from teacher created and school created assessments.
Learners will then be asked to answer open-ended questions in which they will explain the
similarities and differences between the exams created by the teachers, and those create by the
school in regards to rigor and performance. They will also be asked to explain correlation
between harder teachers created assessments and successful scores on the School created
assessment.
