ELECTRICAL CAD 1

1.Explain general features and limitation of the electrical machines.

2.The temperature rise of transformer is 25C after 1hr and 2hr and 37.7C after 2hr of
starting form cold condition. Calculate its final steady temp. rise and the heating time
constant. If its temperature falls from the final steady value to 40C in 1.5hr when
disconnected, calculate time constant .at temperature is 30C .

3.Define heat dissipation in electrical machines design.

4. Explain clearly the ratings of machines phenomenon.
5.Define the cooling media.
6.Define temperature rise heating and cooling cycles.
7) Explain the true and apparent tooth-density?
8) Method of ventilation in electrical machine with suitable diagram?
9) Describe types of enclosures?
10) Derive the o/p equation of synchronous machine and transformer.
11) Write short notes:-
a) Specific loading of rotary electrical machine
c) Quality of hydrogen gas in cooling
