SIOP Lesson Plan Grading Rubric Criteria Exemplary Proficient Unsatisfactory

This rubric evaluates SIOP lesson plans based on several criteria: 1) How well the lesson matches the targeted English proficiency level of students. 2) How clearly the learning standards are evident throughout the lesson. 3) How completely the lesson incorporates the elements of the SIOP model. 4) How fully the lesson meets requirements given by the instructor. 5) How easily readable and free of errors the lesson is. Points are assigned for exemplary, proficient, or unsatisfactory demonstration of each criterion.
