Syllabus of MVNU for the subject of Civil Engineering
Technical Visit

Our tour started at 09:05 AM on 17th of January from our university with lots of excitement and
enthusiasm.
Journey in the bus to the venue point was much enjoyable as all the students played ‘antakshari’
and sang lots of new and old songs. So it was quite a good start of our journey.
At 11:30 AM we reached the Gulshan Bellina Homz and started the visit by reaching at the site
of Project Head Mr.Anand Rawat/Sr.Manager Ms.Divya Tripathi .

There, Project Head Mr.Anand Rawat. introduced himself amongst the students and also gave a
basic introduction of how the construction process takes place by explaining various stages of
construction work.
Then, we moved at the other site where building foundation work was in progress.

Here the students were guided by the Site In charge at Gulshan Bellina Homz. He guided the
students about how the excavation for foundation is done and which are the various stages for

carrying out building foundation work and told that here mainly Raft Foundation is provide.
Students were also taught about how to decide the depth of foundation and which are the various
types of foundation used for the construction of multi storey buildings.

Next we moved to the building where cube test of concrete samples are performed. In this Test
mainly the students understood the following process.

1) Filling of Cubes

3) Process of Curing
Now we move towards underground of building where the students seen that how beam and
column joint look after casting.

After the visit of underground of structure we move towards the equipments and materials used.
Now after this the site incharge shows us their room where all materials and small equipments
that are used on the construction are to be stored as very carefully.

There is some place where some posters of messages are put having main function to convey the
messesge of importance of life.
Now after the whole visit the site the project manger Mr. “Anand Rawat” offered the students to
ask some question about the construction. After that they give some personal experience of of
construction which is very helpful for the students in their future life.

After many discussion finally they shows their drawing of typical plan of the construction tower
and told about the holding, reading and how understood the drawing very easily.

After completed the visit and transforming the knowledge the Gulshan homz offered the students
and faculty of MVN University to lunch.
At last we honoured both the experts Project Head Mr.Anand Rawat /Main Site Incharge At
Gulshan Bellina Homz and Mr. Mahender Shing, Store Manager and Divya Taneja Sr.HR
Manager by giving thanking for providing such an opportunity for the students to learn over and
above the books.

On behalf of entire Civil Engineering Department, we are heartily thankful to Department of


Civil Engineering, Managed by CRC Department of MVN, University for providing such a
great opportunity to the students by allowing them to visit this construction site which will help
the students in understanding various concepts of civil engineering branch at present and in
future.
