Bolting Valve bolting material below 110 deg C

NOTE:
Metric threading is acceptable for all internal valve bolting excluding flanged end and auxiliary connections, which shall be in
accordance with VDS requirements.

SCOPE:
This MDS lists allowable bolting materials for pressure retaining valve bolting and technical requirements for the different bolting
materials. Required bolting materials for each valve body material type is shown in table 1 as well as MDS¿s for each bolting
material. The material requirements for each bolting material are listed as MDS¿s below table 1.

MATERIAL SELECTION:
The bolt materials listed below are based on corrosion considerations. Valve manufacturer may choose between optional bolting
material within the scope of each valve body material but shall consider bolt material mechanical and other metallurgical properties
when selection is made.
