A. Preparation

Good morning class! Good morning ma’am!

Please stand for the opening prayer.

Before we proceed with our lesson for


today, let me first check the
attendance.

B. Motivation

Last meeting, we studied about the


forms or types of businesses.

Can anyone give the 3 forms of Sole proprietorship


business? Partnership
Corporation
Very good!

Do you know the difference between No ma’am.


these three forms of business?
A sole proprietorship is a business that
legally has no separate existence from
its owner. The sole proprietorship is
the simplest business form under
which one can operate a business.
The sole proprietorship is not a legal
entity. It simply refers to a person who
owns the business and is personally
responsible for its debt.

On the other hand, partnership is when


two or more individuals share
ownership in a business.

Lastly, a corporation is a legal entity


that is separate and distinct from its
owners. Corporations enjoy most of
the rights and responsibilities that an
individual possesses; that is,
a corporation has the right to enter
into contracts, loan and borrow
money, sue and be sued, hire
employees, own assets and pay taxes.

C. Discussion

Entrepreneur is a person who creates and runs


a business or enterprise. It is derived from the
French word Entre- which means “between”
Prende – to take . He or she is an
unique individual who has the innate ability
and extraordinary dedication to establish and
manage a business, acknowledging all the risks
and reaping its rewards.

Now, lets us define Entrepreneurship.


Entrepreneurship is a proactive process of
developing a business venture to make a profit.
it involves seeking opportunities for a market,
establishing and operating a business out of
the opportunity, and assessing its risks and
rewards through close monitoring of the
operations.

Any question class? No ma’am.


Ok, let us continue.

So why do we need to entrepreneurs?


This is because you can make your own rules.
When you own a business, you get to be your
own boss.
You also get to do work you enjoy. Since the
majority of most peoples’ lives is spent
working, why not spend that time doing
something you enjoy?
Then you can also create greater wealth.
There’s no limit to what an entrepreneur can
make.
And lastly you can help out your community.
Being an entrepreneur lets you make your
community and world a better place.

Next, we will talk about the potential business


failure. Being fully responsible means the
success or failure of your business rests on you.

These are number one -- Unexpected


obstacles. Problems can happen that you don’t
expect.

Then there is financial insecurity. Many new


businesses don’t make much money in the
beginning, so you may not always be able to
pay yourself.

And last but not the least are the long hours of
work and of course hard work. It’s not unusual
for entrepreneurs to work a lot of extra hours
to make their businesses successful. This is
especially true during the initial start-up
process.

D. Assessment/Evaluation

Class, I will give 15 minutes to review what


we have discussed today about No ma’am.
Entrepreneurship and then I will give you a
short quiz.

V. Assignment: The teacher will give instructions to the students to submit their assignments
on a 1 whole sheet of yellow paper (handwritten)
1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of being an entrepreneur?
2. Discuss the steps in building a business/enterprise.
3. What are your hobbies and interest that you think may help you decide on the kind of business
you might venture in the future?
