The process for the Change of Tenancy (COT) is by forwarding complete documents to TNB.
The required documents for Individuals and Company are:

For Individuals :

i) Identification card / Military or police I/C / Passport(Foreigner)


ii) Sales and Purchase Agreement / land grant / A letter occupy quarters / The lease agreement / The letter of
authorization to occupy / the support letter of the village chief or headman / other supporting documents that can
be considered reasonable as evidence to occupy the premises. For example, a utility bill in the name of the
customer.

For Company :

i) Identification card of Director


ii) Sales and Purchase Agreement / land grant / A letter occupy quarters / The lease agreement / The letter of
authorization to occupy / the support letter of the village chief or headman / other supporting documents that can
be considered reasonable as evidence to occupy the premises. For example, a utility bill in the name of the
customer.
iii) Form 9 and Form 49 - for companies Sdn. Bhd., or Form 24 - for public listed company (ltd.), Or Form E /
business registration certificate - for business, and power of attorney of the represented organizations / the
official confirmation departments / ministries (for applicants government departments) / Any certificate or an
official registration document of the organization
iv) Form G & H

* For companies, Form 13 is required if there is a change in name.

What is the process for customers to apply for conversion to the industrial tariff rates?

On-site verification is needed to confirm that a customer activity is coincides with the definition in TNB
tariff book. Site Visit Report with picture, the relevant supporting documents must be uploaded in the
BCRM record. Please refer to Tariff Verification checklist as in Circular PBK (PP) C14-2015.
To qualify for industrial rates:
- Charges for the use of lights and aircon office must not exceed 20% of the overall load on the premises
Relevant supporting documents (such as MIDA License/ PBT Manufacturer License etc)
Approval for change of tariff is at Branch Level
Consumer are required to sign a new supply contract.
Consumer need to sign the new contract.
