Identifying Verbs: Underline each verb and circle the linking verbs.

3. Superstitions about black cats seem ridiculous, but many people believe them.
4. In many cultures around the world, superstitions are common.

Regular and Irregular Verbs: Fill in the empty boxes with the appropriate form of the
verb.

Simple and Perfect Tenses: Underline the verb in each of the following sentences, and label

Participles, Gerunds, and Infinitive Phrases: Circle the verbal or verbal phrase in each
