1) IndianOil Kerosine meets the requirements of IS 1459 for kerosene, including limits on acidity, burning quality, color, copper strip corrosion, distillation results, flash point, smoke point, and total sulfur. 2) The kerosene must have a Saybolt color value of at least 10 or a Lovibond color no deeper than Standard White. 3) For supplies to Defense, the kerosene must have a minimum smoke point of 22mm and maximum sulfur content of 0.20%; for supplies to Railways, the minimum smoke point is 20mm.

colour shall not be deeper than Standard White (IP 4.0)

• For supplies to Defence, the smoke point of the product shall be 22 mm, Min and for Railways it shall be 20 mm, Min

• For supplies to Defence, total sulphur content, percent by mass, of the product shall be 0.20 Max
