RESOLUTION NO. 143

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HON. RUDERICK MARZO TO


TAKE THE NECESSARY LEGAL STEPS FOR THE
EXPROPRIATION OF A PARCEL OF LAND SITUATED ALONG
WHITE PLAINS STREET, BARANGAY SAN MIGUEL, CITY OF
ILIGAN, OWNED BY MR. XANDER M. FORD

WHEREAS, there is a parcel of land situated along White Plains Street,


Barangay San Miguel, city of Iligan owned and registered in the name of
MR. XANDER M. FORD;

WHEREAS, this piece of land have been occupied for about ten (10) years
by the owner himself alone which the City Government of Iligan desires,
among other things, to provide modest, decent dwelling and public
playground for the children and for everyone;

WHEREAS, the expropriation of said land would certainly benefit public


interest, let alone, a step towards the implementation of social justice and
urban land reform in this City providing for the public welfare;
WHEREAS, under the present situation, the City Council deems it
necessary to authorize Hon. Mayor CELSO REGENCIA to institute
expropriation proceedings to achieve the noble purpose of the City
Government of Iligan.

NOW, THEREFORE, upon motion duly seconded, the City Council of


Iligan, in session assembled, RESOLVED, as it hereby RESOLVES, to
authorize, as it is hereby authorizing, Hon. Mayor CELSO REGENCIA, to
institute expropriation proceedings against the above-named registered
owner of that parcel of land situated along White Plains street, Barangay San
Miguel, City of Iligan for the purpose of developing it to a public
playground project for the less privileged but deserving constituents of this
City.

ADOPTED on this 24th day of October 2015 at the City of Iligan.
