Bais City National High School, formerly known as Bais City High
School, is a learning institution which is deemed as the largest public
secondary school in the Division of Bais City. It is located at Tavera Street,
Barangay 1 and is surrounded by different schools which are: Bais City
National Science High School on its west, Negros Oriental State University
(Campus 2) on its east, and Bais City Pilot School on its north.

Founded on 1969, the academic institution already operates for 49

years under the supervision of 6 principals. It is currently headed by Mr.
Ernesto Q. Alas-as Jr., Principal III assisted by Mrs. Groselle B. Ragay,
Assistant Principal II. Former principals who headed the school were Mr.
Paciencio J. Rosalem (from 1969-1986), Mr. Mario C. Andong (1986-1997),
Mrs. Luz P. Buñol (from 1997-2003), Mrs. Maria V. Catalbas (from 2003-2006),
and Mr. Arnulfo A. Adana (from 2006-2014).

The school is DepEd certified and is currently adapting the K-12

Curriculum. The students enrolled for the school year 2017-2018 belong to
the Junior high school and the Senior high school curricula. The Junior High is
divided into 4 grade levels: the Grade 7 curriculum, whose sections were
named after national heroes (Makabansa); the Grade 8 curriculum, whose
sections were named after trees (Makakalikasan); the Grade 9 curriculum,
whose sections were named after desirable traits (Makatao), and the Grade
10 curriculum, whose sections were named after books in the Bible (Maka-
Diyos). Grade 11 and Grade 12 students belong to the senior high school.
Grade 11 sections were named after precious gems while Grade 12 sections
were named after flowers.

To attain its Vision and Mission and to provide nothing but quality
education, classrooms conducive for learning, buildings, and facilities with
adequate equipment were established and provided which are designated to
cater all the learning needs of every student. Some of the buildings that
house sufficient equipment which are accessible to all students are the
Science Laboratory, Speech Laboratory, two Computer Laboratories, and
Home Economics Room.

All throughout the years, Bais City National High School has produced
individuals who now hold great responsibilities and are well-respected people
in the community. Some of them made their way to the Wall of Fame located
inside the school premises near the gate. Today, Bais City National High
School still continues to help students realize their full potential and still
molds learners to be the best versions of themselves.
