The “Minor Pentatonic” Scales are widely used in “Rock-n-Roll”
style of music. The scales only use 5 notes (Key of A = A, C, D, E,
G). These scales are easy to learn since there are only 5 notes,
and 2 notes per string (the notes keep repeating over and over).
The Down / Up picking sequence works best with this scale.

* Use with Major, minor, minor 7th, and minor 9th chords (Rock, Southern Rock,
and Metal chord progressions).
Picking Sequence:
It is suggested to “alternate” picking (using Down / Up picking)
when practicing any of these scales (this will help develop
coordination and speed between your right and left hands).
