Self Perception Inventory
Self Perception Inventory
Please spend about 15 – 20 minutes completing this section. Please note that there are no right
or wrong answers; try to respond in the basis of who you are, not what you would like to be.
Work at your own pace, taking care not to over-analyse your responses.
The Inventory consists of seven sections. Within each section, you have to allocate points to the
statements based on how you feel they apply to you; the sum total of the points for each
section must be 10.
For example: if a statement does not apply to you, do not give any points. If you think that one
statement applies strongly and two others apply just a little, you might distribute points as 6 for
the ‘strongly applies’ and 2 each for the other two statements. Or if two statements apply equally
strongly, you might allocate 5 points to each. You are encouraged to select a maximum of four
statements in each section. Please allocate whole numbers only – no fractions or decimals. If
you have no points to allocate to a sentence please leave it blank. Enter the points in the Self-
Perception Answer Grid provided at the end of this questionnaire.
