The Draughting and Technical Documentation Facility at ISRO Satellite Center has procured a Fujitsu ScanSnap SV600 contactless book scanner. The scanner can scan thick books, bound documents, and fragile sheets without damaging them. It scans an A3 size area in under 3 seconds and has features like auto page turn detection, timed interval scanning, and creation of searchable PDFs. All DTDF users are requested to use this new service to convert hard copy technical documents to softcopies for e-filing, which is more cost effective, user friendly and eco-friendly than paper documents.

In persuasion of ISAC's continuous efforts to achieve paperless office and provide


users with more and more value added services, DTDF has procured and installed "Fujitsu
ScanSnap SV600" contactless book scanner. Easily it can scan thick books, bound
documents, reports, technical information on old fragile sheets, directly without cutting or
damaging them.
Over view:
1. One-button overhead scanning technology
2. Scans bound material and flat documents
3. Scans an A3 size area in less than 3 seconds
4~ Book curve image-flattening technology
5. Erase finger from image function
6. Auto crop, de-skew and rotation features
7. Auto page-turn detection sensor
8. Timed interval scanning mode
9. Searchable PDF, PDF and JPEG creation
10. Single scan multiple document cropping

All DTDF users are requested to make use of this new service offered by DTDF for
changing over from hard copy technical documents to softcopy, E-filing etc,. which is very
cost effective, user friendly and eco-friendly. Work will be taken-up by Technical
