Resolution No. 1. S–2017

“A RESOLUTION FOR AN ADDITIONAL VEHICLES”

WHEREAS, the Association of the Barangay Council (ABC) of the City of Cebu, a
government organization duly organized and existing by virtue of its Article of Incorporation ,
Constitution and By-Laws approved by the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas, and pursuant to
pertinent laws of the Republic of the Philippines;

WHEREAS, the ABC feel the importance of having a vehicles that is deploy to each
barangay to be used by the barangay and their partner schools.

WHEREAS, this vehicles will be used by the barangay and their partner schools for their
different activities.

WHEREAS, Barangays and Public Schools doesn’t have enough budget to buy a
vehicles.

WHEREAS, Section 458 (a) (2) (xiii) of the Local Government Code (R.A. 7160)
authorizes the City Government, through the Sangguniang Panlungsod, to provide grants to other
government units, provided that said institutions are operated and maintained within the city;

THEREFORE, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Cebu, through the ABC
requesting to give each barangay and to have an addition of their vehicles to be used by such
purposes.

RESOLVED, to authorize the City Mayor, Hon. Matt Estenzo, for and on behalf of the
City of Cebu to enter into and sign Memorandum of Agreement with the Association of
Barangay Council for the request of giving of vehicles to be awarded to the latter for its
equipment and maintenance and other operating expenses.

RESOLVED FINALLY, to authorize the Secretary of the Sangguniang Panlungsod to


furnish copies of this resolution to the City Mayor, Hon. Matt Estenzo, City Budget Officer, City
Accountant, City Treasurer, ABC President for the information and guidance.

“A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF THE CITY OF


CEBU TO IMPLEMENT THE CYBERCRIME PREVENTION ACT OF 2012”

WHEREAS, the City of Cebu feel the importance of implementing the R.A. No. 10175
or known as Cybercrime Act of 2012 to our city as an ordinance .

WHEREAS, there are 29 % of Filipino internet users on our population and part of this
