Seed requirements: Transplanting from seedbed 3 kg / ha requirements for 300 sq m. Seedbed @ 10g/sq m.
Direct seeding 5 - 8 kg/ha. Use high quality seed that has been suitably treated with fungicide dressing.
Spacing: 230 - 300 mm between rows, 50 - 70 mm within row.
Yield Target: 15 ton per hectare. With heavier fertilization yield can increase up to 40 ton/ha
Planting time: Feb - March for transplanting 6 - 8 weeks later when plants are 5-7 mm in diameter (Pencil thickness)
Cool/cold weather conditions best for bulk formation and warm weather for maturity and harvesting.

NOTES: DO NOT fumigate seedbeds with Methyl Bromide as Bromine is toxic to onions. 17 x 15 lt knapsacks/ha applies +/- 250 lt/ha
Use Bladbuff 5 as your spray water buffer for effective chemical spraying.
