1. Introduction:
(A)Nowadays, many teenagers spend too much time writing and sending messages. (B)Texting has three
main effects on this age category: bad grades, health troubles, and social problems.
2. Body:
(A)One effect is that texting can lead to bad school grades. (a) For example, some students try to text during
class or while they are doing their homework; therefore, the concentration becomes difficult and they are more
likely to make mistakes.
(B)Another effect is that texting can cause many health troubles. (a) So much texting usually makes the eyes
sore. (b) What’s more, some people text late at night and don’t get enough sleep, they consequently become
run-down or even sick.
(C)A third effect of texting is on our social lives. (a) Texting is great because it keeps people connected.
However, it can also lead to rudeness. Instead of talking to the people we’re with, we ignore them so as to text
others. Sometimes, it seems like we have forgotten how to talk!
3. Conclusion:
In a nut shell, I think texting is a great and useful means of communication as long as people choose the right
place and time to write and send messages.
