Grading Rubric Discussion Board 20 Points

The grading rubric assesses student discussion board posts across five criteria: depth of response, examples and use of source material, connections, frequency and writing mechanics. An outstanding post comprehensively answers the discussion question, provides analysis and reflection, and demonstrates the student has read and reflected on other posts. A respectable post also answers the question and shows analysis, but may lack depth. An acceptable post answers the question but needs more development and consistent thought. A post that needs improvement vaguely answers the question without showing thought. An unacceptable post is minimal and lacks demonstration of reading others' posts.
