Technical Specification For Earth Wire

The document specifies the requirements for hot dip galvanized stranded steel wire. It outlines 16 parameters for the wire including 7 strands of 3.15mm diameter wire, a minimum tensile strength of 1.4 kgf/mm2, and zinc coating of 240 gms/sqmm before stranding and 228 gms/sqmm after stranding. The hot dip galvanized coating shall meet IS specifications and provide a minimum tensile strength of 700N/mm2 for the stranded wire. Tests are required to check for freedom from defects and compliance with construction and mechanical properties standards.
