lump sum count of each instructor with the receipts they gather for a month. Every month

the admin need a lot of time to calculate the salary of each instructor. Moreover, this is

manual calculation there will be many mistakes occur such as commission target rate and

commission rate count wrongly because it gathers the receipts of whole month.

By using a computerized system, Technological University of the Philippines

Lopez, Quezon Extension Campus can do calculation activity smoothly, fast and also

saving time. Technological University of the Philippines Lopez, Quezon Extension

Campus no longer needs to use a voucher book and waste a lot of time in calculation and

reduce the calculation mistake. In addition, the instructor can get the full details salary

slip. The most important is the people want to apply in the University can get a full report
about the salary of the professor. Therefore, this project will produce a payroll system

that is useful and help people.

Payroll management system is generalized to compute the wages of the instructor

or professor in order to have accurate computation on the wages and at the same time

keeps the employment record of the working staff. In case of errors, there will be a

database to check the records of every instructor and their work done.

Objectives of the study

To develop an Automated payroll system that will ensure convenience,

preciseness, accuracy, faster, and easier manipulation and access of data for the user.

To create a module the will, help in organizing data and monitoring.

To develop a module the will, make the process of computation faster and easier.

To create a module the will be convenient for computing the wages.

Scope and limitation of the study

The study focuses on designing, creating or developing of the Automated Payroll

System of Technological University of the Philippines Lopez, Quezon Extension

Campus. All instructor will have their own account with an access level. This system

centers on the advancement of the management through the use of modern technology.

This system capture of information based on the instructor work schedule, daily time

worked and daily time rendered. The system will have a file management where it covers

the records of employee and keeping the records. The system will have a report consist of
summary of time sheet, summary of payroll computation, overtime pay, absences and

tardiness, withholding tax/tax contribution, GSIS, Phil health, Pag-ibig contributions. It

alsoincludes the features that can edit instructor information.

Log in

This module is used to determine the user is. Only the admin is authorized to

access the system, which username and password to identify and authenticate the user.

This form is used for security purpose of the transaction and records.

Encode

This module is used to write on the computer the records of the working staffs

about their work and financial records.

Compute

This module is used to compute the number of works of the instructor for their

salary, deduction and to lessen mistakes in computing manually.

Limitations

The employee’s salary will not be sent through automated teller machine or

cashfor the reason that the system is for computing, printing pay slip only or any other

payroll transactions by Technological University of the Philippines Lopez, Quezon

Extension Campus and it will only be used for viewing. No other currencies are

computed in the system of the Technological University of the Philippines Lopez,

Quezon Extension Campus. This payroll system is only applicable and can only be used

by the management of TUPLQ.


Significance of the study

This payroll system will benefit employee and other workers to help produce a

precise computed employee salary. It also benefits from the pay slip won’t be fabricated.

The process in getting each instructor salary would then be more reliable. In this case,

every result will be produced in an easier and faster way, thus, will increase the

productivity in the organization.

different materials such as books, journals, published and unpublished researches and

online resources.
