Quetion

The document discusses two types of solvers used to simulate dynamic systems: variable step solvers and fixed step solvers. Variable step solvers vary the step size during the simulation to maintain accuracy when states change rapidly and avoid unnecessary steps when states change slowly. Fixed step solvers solve models at constant step sizes specified from the beginning to the end of the simulation. The document provides details on how each solver type approaches solving a model's set of ordinary differential equations.

Solver details-

 Solver are used to simulate a dynamic system.

 It is applies a numerical method to solve a set of ordinary differential equations that represent
the model.
 Each solver contains a particular approach to solve a model.

There are two types of solver –

1.Variable step solver

2.Fixed step solver

1. Variable step solver –Vary the step size during the simulation.

 Reduces step size when model states change rapidly, to maintain accuracy.
 Increases step size when model states change slowly, to avoid unnecessary steps.
It is used in model which states change rapidly.

2.Fixed step solver-

 Solve a model at step sizes from the beginning to end of the simulation.
 You can specify the step size.
 Step size remains constant throughout the simulation.

Difference between state flow actions?

Condition action-

 Condition action follow the transition condition and are enclosed within curly brackets
S –function –

S –function provide c code with existing c/C++,python code

S function compiled using mex file.
