lf any discrepancies occur between this procedure, specification, approved drawing or data sheet,
standard and codes, it shall be brought to the attention of client immediately, and written approval
o of client shall be obtained by the fabricator before proceeding with the production
5. SUBTITUTION
Substitution or modification of any item, material, drawing or detail shall be made only upon
written approval of client
6. PROCEDURE
a. Each equipment shall have a complete record. Kind of inspection and test shail be in
accordance with inspection and test plan and required record shall be compiled in MDR
b. lnspection place
The inspection shall be performed in PT GATRA KILANG PERSADA workshop or at site with
the following address

. Material supply
In accordance with the scope of work specification, all materials for this proiect shall be
supplied by PT GATRA KILANG PERSADA for approval by PETROGAS (BASIN) LTD.
. Material Receiving lnspection and Store
All materials shall be inspected forthe quantity, quality, specification and size based on
material purchase iist
. Storage area shall be separated between carbon steel material and stainless steel

. Client inspection shall be notified of the coming of the material and be applied for
verification process
o Cutting edge shall be done by appropriate method such as gas cutting, grind saw for
carbon steel part
After cutting oil slag and detrimental materials whlch has been molten, shall be
removed by grinding to sound metal and any sharp edges exposed parts of completed
equipment shall be removed and dressed to a minimum chamber or radius 2 (two)
millimeters
. Rolling work inspection
After finishing with the cutting work, QC inspector shaii check the actual dimensional
for length, width and diagonal before rolling
Prior to rolling process, the radius shall be continuously checked using galvanized piate
te m plate
All reinforcement pads and other attachment to shell plate or head (if any) shall be
rolled lformed to the curvature of the surface to which they wlll be attached
7, WELDING INSPECTION
a. Welding Procedure
Oniy manufacturer V/PS shall be used for the whole project
Welding map generated and distributed to workshop or site shall list up the approved WPS
to be used for the welds of each equipment

b Welder Qualification
List of welders to perform in the project shall be submitted to client
c. Welding consumables
Low hydrogen electrodes shall be baked at a temperature 300 - 350 C,30-60 min by
catalogue, kept in holding oven at l-20 C min ancj supplied to the welders with 75 C min in
hot boxes
Any electrodes, wire or rods other than lou; hydrogen shall be stored in the dry rod and
kept in their original packets
Any damp, wet or detrimental consumables shall be discarded
d. lVeidingPreparation
The bevel or groove preparation type (includingthe angle, root face and gap dimension) of
each joint shall be as per shop drawing which refer to the approved WPS. Prior to welding
the weid preparation and the surrounding area shaii be eiean and free of moisture, oxides
or any other foreign matters which could contaminate the weld
The arc shall be struck on the weld edge preparation or on deposited weld metal. Ai'c
strikes outside of the weld joint shall be removed by carefui grinding
e. Visual lnspection
The surface of finished welds shall be sufficiently free from coarse ripple, grooves, notches,
overlap, abrupt ridges and valieys, to permit proper interpretation of visuai inspection anci
required sub sequent NDT.
Welding traceability QC lnspector shall maintain traceability of welding and record for each
weld of each equipment, applied WPS, engaged weider, date of visuai inspection, applied
NDE, NDE report number and status of clearance
8. DIMENSIONAL CHECK
Dimensional check shall be apply for all activities erection accordance with ITP approval
and QC inspector shall be check and records items :
- Roundness check
- Plumbness check
- Peaking and banding
- Final dimensionai check
9. NDE
a. NDE shall performed if requested in the drawing or data sheets. NDT will be done by third
parties on the request of PT. GATRA KILANG PERSADA lnspector and shall be done ln
accordance with ASME sectV and PETROGAS (BASIN) LTD Specification and ITP Approved
