Disconnector Type Testing

This document summarizes the test conditions and requirements for temperature-rise and short-time withstand current tests on switchgear and controlgear. Key points include: 1. Temperature-rise tests require measuring the temperature rise at terminals and connections with a test current of 630A to ensure rises do not exceed specified limits. 2. Short-time withstand current tests apply a 3-phase test current of 25kA for 1 second to validate withstand and operation up to the rated short-time current. 3. Additional in-house tests include mechanical operation tests and insulation resistance measurements to validate the equipment operates and isolates correctly before and after the temperature and short-circuit tests.
