TECHNICAL DELIVERY CONDITION FOR FLANGE SA 105N

1. Quantity : As per purchase requisition

2. Size and type : As per purchase requisition

3. Material condition : Normalized

4. Pressure class or dimensions : As per purchase requisition

5. Name of material : Carbon steel forgings in accordance


With ASME-B16.5- 2009 and ASME B16.47 2006

6. Specification designation : SA105 ASME Sec.II, Part A


Edition 2013.

7. Additional requirements : Nil

8. Product marking : As per SA105 para13, ASME B16.5 and


ASME B16.47 2006

9. Special requirements :

 Shall have a maximum carbon content of 0.23.


 The Carbon Equivalent (CE) based on the Ladle Analysis shall not exceed 0.43, calculated by
the following formula: Carbon Equivalent = C+ Mn/6 + (Cr+Mo+V)/5 + (Ni+Cu)/15
 Nickel content in the material shall be <1%.
 All materials shall be supplied in the normalized or quenched and tempered condition.
 All materials shall be in accordance with the materials property and heat treatment
requirements of ISO 15156 or NACE MR0175
 Materials shall have hardness at any point not exceeding 187 HBW.
 Flanges shall comply to the requirements of MESC specification SPE 76/002 and SPE
76/210.
 Unless otherwise noted, dimensions end, drilling and tolerances for flanges shall be as per
ASME B16.5 for NB < 24 inches and ASME B16.47 Series A’’ for NB>24 inches.
 Flanges machined from forged Bars / Billets are not permitted.
 All Material supplied shall be new, clean and free from mill scale, rust, pit and defects
 Repair welding on Forged Materials is not acceptable.

12. Certification : According to SA-105 Para-12; Original or Verified true


copy of Mill test certificate is required in accordance with
EN10204-3.1: E2004.

 Test(s) as called out in the Purchase Order
 NDE Results
 Nace Compliance Statement
 Dimensional Check Report
