UBS Summer Internship Report Template
3. The report shall have a title page with the name of the student, name of the company,
major topic of the internship work, name of the supervisor at the company, year and the
names of other students who were placed in the samecompany.
4. The Report must have an attached Company Letter with the following information
covered:
Dates of the internship period
Responsibilities of the Intern
Name of the department
Objectives the Intern had and the results achieved
Contact name, email and telephone number(s) of the person(s) with whom the
Internship results and processes can be discussed
Comments on the quality of the Intern’s work
The Company Letter must be on the Company letterhead with its address and
telephone number and signed by a person in a top position at the Company. The
Company Letter must have an official stamp and the date. The Letter has to be
addressed as “To Whom It May Concern”.
This document has been set up to assist students in preparing the text for their summer internship
research project report. It is NOT intended as a document to guide you through your training and
development, but to assist you in setting out the report, in terms of text layout, section headings
and sub-sections.
The Summer Internship Project is a complete description of the work done during summer training,
developed under the supervision of the assigned supervisor or mentor. Through the report, the
student needs to demonstrate convincingly that the work undertaken during the Summer Training
and that the study undertaken will make a contribution to a problem. The report will be divided into
two parts. 1st would be the work done in 6-8 weeks of training and 2nd part would be related to the
research project. The full report must be 50 pages in minimum and should present the following:
Title (should also include other students from UBS who worked in the same company)
Summer training letter (from the Company mentor)
Acknowledgement
Executive summary
Table of Content
List of tables
List of figures
Brief Introduction of theCompany
Weekly Statement of the work undertaken during 6-8 weeks of training.

The template provides ALL the sections, headings and subheadings that you will require in your
summer training report.
