phic functions. Cauchy’s theorem, residue calculus, conformal mappings, introduction to

Tests
We will have nine quizzes, midterm test and final test.
Quizzes: for Section 0101: September 16, 23, 30, October 7, 14, 21, 28, November 18, 25;
for Sections 0201 and 5101: September 17, 24, October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, November 19, 26.
The quizzes will be held during the regular class hours and the regular class locations on
Tuesdays/Mondays;
Quizzes and midterm and final exams will be on the material covered in the lectures. All
the problems for the quizzes and midterm exam and most of the problems for the final test
will be taken (with possibly minor modifications) from the homework. The problems in
quizzes and exams might involve proofs.
No make-ups
There will be no make-ups for missed quizzes and missed midterm. The 4 quizzes with
the lowest marks (including missed) will be discarded.
If more than 4 quizzes or the midterm are missed and if the students submitted a doc-
tor’s note explaining their absence, then the corresponding weight would be placed on the
remaining quizzes, midterm (if applicable) and final exam.
