MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
of the Board of Officers of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines -Cavite Chapter held
on November 8, 2010 at IBP Cavite Chapter Building, Imus, Cavite

I. PRAYER
Prayer was led by Pres. Rose V. Perey.
II. CALLTO ORDER
The Meeting was called to order at exactly 7:10 p.m. after determining that
there was a quorum.
The meeting was presided over by President Rose while Secretary Akit
recorded the minutes of the meeting.
III. Reading and Approval of the Minutes of the Previous Meeting
The reading and approval of the minutes of the previous meeting was
dispensed with.
IV. TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurer’s Report was deferred in view of the absence of Treasurer
Pheds.
V. AGENDA FOR DISCUSSION
a) Proposed Participation of IBP Cavite in Rotary District 3810
Medical & Legal Mission
President Rose announced that Atty. Sam already approved the participation
of the Chapter in the Medical-Legal Mission, which will be sponsored by Rotary
District 3810 on November 21, 2010, at the Tejeros Convention Center, Rosario,
Cavite. It will be considered as a project of the Chapter’s Free Legal Aid Committee.

Attys. Rose, Miriam, Evelyn, Gaysol and Loi will be sent as the Chapter’s official
delegation.
b) Fitness & Investment Seminar on November 25, 2010
This project, however, will be cancelled due to time and budget constraints
and its realization will be upon the pleasure of the next president. It was
unanimously conceded that the Board should focus and devote its full attention on
the forthcoming Christmas Party.
c). Tasking for Christmas Party on December 10, 2010
With the suggestions, opinions, reactions and discussions of the body, the
following were agreed upon:
Date and Time: December 10, 2010 – 6:00 p.m. onwards
Venue : IBP Cavite Building, Imus, Cavite
Theme : “IBP Cavite Goes Retro!”

Ways and Means – (IBP budget & sponsorships)

Note: It was agreed upon that the lobby will be utilized as the program area while the
food set-up will be outside.

Publicity & Promotions – (Distribution of letter-invitations, posting of tarpaulins
and posters at IBP bulletin boards and at program venue)

Other matters agreed upon:
1). Felyver will be asked to cater for one hundred (100) persons at
PhP350/pax
2). The mechanics for the group presentations will be as follows:
a. Each group shall be composed of not less than three (3) members.
b. The presentation must be completed within a maximum time limit of
five (5) minutes. A one-point deduction shall be made for every minute in excess of
the cited time limit.
c. The presentation shall be a song, dance, skit or combination thereof.
d. The decision of the panel of jurors shall be final and unappealable.
3). The panel of jurors will be composed of:
a. Judge Eduardo I. Tanguanco

c. Atty. Teresita S. Ruelos
d. Atty. Ernie Perez
e. Atty. Sly Marasigan
5). Criteria for judging the presentation:
a. Creativity and ingenuity – 50%

c. Retro get-up – 20%
d. Audience impact – 10%

a. Best in Retro Attire - Male
b. First Runner-Up
c. Second Runner-Up
d. Best in Retro Attire - Female

7). The Board of Officers shall not join the competition but shall render a
special number!!!
VI. OTHER MATTERS
It was agreed that the two (2) staff namely, Kristine and Jun will be given a
Christmas bonus of PhP4,000.00 and PhP3,000.00, respectively.
VII. ADJOURNMENT
There being no other matters to be taken up, the meeting was adjourned at
8:35 p.m.
