I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson the pupils should be able to:

A. Define what is pleasant and unpleasant sounds;

B. Appreciate the importance of its sounds; and

C. Give the different between music versus noise.

II. Subject Matter: Pleasant and Unpleasant sounds

References: Science and Health Grade 5

Materials: Bluetooth Speaker, Cellphone, Cartolina, Marker, Tape

Stand up for a prayer

3. Checking of Attendance

Secretary is there any absent today?  No, teacher

Can you still remember what our lesson yesterday  Yes, teacher

1. We know first what pleasant and unpleasant
sounds are.
PLEASANT - Music is usually made from vibration
that reaches our ears harmoniously at regular
intervals.

UNPLEASANT - That make irregular vibration are


considered as noise or unpleasant sounds.

2. I have something to show you.

I have here different kinds of sounds. Then you tell


me if the sounds are Pleasant or Unpleasant
sounds.

Ok class listens to the music.

Then I will explain what you heard.

Noise

Music -is vocal or instrumental sounds (or both)

Noise - on the other hand is a sound that is loud


unpleasant and causes disturbance.
