Introduction

This proposal was written by Ian Neil Pepe (11 ICT-A), and was made
possible by the representatives of each strands in grade 11. This event
proposal was entitled 'Mini Intramurals 2019' and will include 2 games –
Basketball and Volleyball. A meeting was done prior to the composition of
this proposal wherein the objectives and details of the proposed event were
discussed and disseminated to each representative together with all the
grade 11 students belonging to different strands. This paper sets out what was
agreed with regard to:

 The objectives and purposes of the event

 The participants and their respective roles
 The structure and content of the event
 The venue
 The actions required to deliver the event successfully

Objectives and Purposes of the Event

The purpose of this event, which was given the utmost importance, is to
showcase the skills of the different strands in organizing an intramurals event.
This likewise challenges the capacity of the students, especially the
representatives, in leading a large group of people towards a common goal.
Moreover, the representatives, led by the head of the event, Ian Pepe,
discussed and agreed with the following objectives:

 To showcase the varied skills of the students relevant to the event

 To strengthen the bond between the strands which will be a way to a
unified academic environment
 To promote leadership, social skills, and sportsmanship

The Participants and their Roles

The participants of this event are all the students who belong in
different strands in grade 11 during the school year 2018-2019. The strands are
clustered and thus forming two brackets: Bracket-A will be formed by all
strands with the suffix A (GAS-A, ABM-A, and ICT-A), while the Bracket-B will
be formed by the strands with the suffix B. All of the participants will have their
roles assigned by the representatives of each strands. The following roles and
the respective count will be acquired per section:

Due to the limited population of some strands, it was agreed that one
person can assume two roles at once. On the contrary, some strands with
bigger population can assign the extra students in the miscellaneous roles.

Structure and Content of the Event

The event will be led by the Masters of the Ceremony, Mr. Ian Neil Pepe
and Ms. Micole Delos Santos and will be supervised by the Physical Education
teacher, Mrs. Maricel B. Ngo. The event will also be managed by the
representatives of each strand.

The event consists of three parts: (1) Elimination in bracket A, (2)

Elimination in bracket B, and (3) Final event. The elimination in both bracket A
and B will be held in one day, and final event in the following day. The
proposed dates are: March 20 and 21 in the year of 2019.

An event programme will be submitted to our teacher in Physical

Education II for validation, and thus will be used as the framework of the
event. The following is a tentative outline of the content of the event:

The Venue of the Event

The event will be held in the covered court of Sitero Francisco Memorial
National High School for two consecutive days. There will be some academic
subjects that will be interrupted during the event. For this case, the
representatives will inform the teachers concerned by distributing a letter of
intent and by speaking to them personally. The representatives will also inform
the junior high school department about the event to avoid conflicts.

Summary

The grade 11 students of SFMNHS will conduct an event on March 20-21

entitled "Mini Intramurals 2019" that will be held in the covered court of the
mentioned school. The main objective of the event is to showcase the skills of
different strands regarding event management. The event will be led by Ian
Neil Pepe of ICT-A and Micole Delos Santos of GAS-A and will be supervised
by Mrs. Maricel Ngo. Letters of intent and personal conversations will be used
to inform the people concerned about the event. This event will serve as the
final project of all the students in grade 11 in Physical Education II.
