Determinations of Recognised-Value Standards of Measurement: National Measurement Act 1960, It Was

The document summarizes determinations made by the National Standards Commission (now the National Measurement Institute) regarding several recognised-value standards of measurement, including: 1) The accuracy of reference standards of measurement shall be ascertained according to principles in an international guide with a 95% confidence level. 2) The acceleration due to gravity and its magnitude at various locations in Australia shall be a standard. 3) The density of mercury, water, and standard mean ocean water at different temperatures and pressures shall be standards. 4) The dynamic viscosity of water at various temperatures shall be a standard. 5) The velocity of electromagnetic waves in a vacuum and positions of fiducial network locations shall be standards.
