2019 All-State Orchestra Audition Etudes
String students will be asked to play one of these scales at the audition. Scales are
to be played in quarter notes (quarter = 120). Use separate bows, do not repeat top
note. Do not use vibrato. **Note: Violas are to play three octaves on F major and
two octaves on the others. Basses are to play three octaves all scales EXCEPT the
b melodic minor scale.
