ABSTRACT
This study aims to: 1) To find out whether or not student activity has been applied to the PBL model
(Problem Based Learning ) on the XI class chassis subjects at PN Purworejo Vocational School. 2) To find
out whether or not student learning outcomes increase after the PBL model ( Problem Based Learning ) is
applied on the XI class chassis subjects at PN Purworejo Vocational School. This type of research is
Classroom Action Research. This research was conducted in two cycles. The subject of this action research
is a class XI student of Engineering Program kendaraa n Light The PN Purworejo Vocational School
2018/2019 , which numbered 27 students, consisted of 26 male students and 1 female student. The
aspects studied included curiosity, behavior, and activeness of students who showed students' enthusiasm
for learning and learning actions shown by the teacher as indicators of implementing learning with
problem-based learning models. After the data is obtained then it is analyzed using percentage description
techniques. A nalisis data by quantitative descriptive analysis to find the average percentage of the activity
and student learning outcomes. The results of this study are that activeness and student learning
outcomes increase from each cycle. This can be seen from the increase in the average score of student
activity from the pre-cycle with a percentage of 70.37% categorized as less, up to 82.87% in the good
category and increasing in the second cycle that is equal to 90.89% and falls into the very good category .
While for student learning outcomes can be seen from the increase in learning outcomes by applying the
problem based learning model ( Problem Based Learning ). Based on results the average learning of
students who meet competency standards is as follows: in the pre cycle the average value is 72.37 with a
percentage of 29.63% in the sufficient category then increasing in the first cycle with an average of 81.03
with the percentage is 51.85% and is included in the good and increasing category in the second cycle
with an average of 90.66 with a percentage of 88.88% and included in the excellent category.

ABSTRACT
Induced Draft Fan (IDF) is a fan that sucks air from inside the boiler out to the chimney, producing
negative pressure on the boiler, keeping the circulation of combustion air in the boiler normal. IDF is one
of the main components in the exhaust gas system which serves to maintain the temperature and vacuum
of the furnace in the boiler. This report will identify IDF damage using vibration indication control
instruments by looking at vibration indication trending data through the Distributed Control System
(DCS) in the Central Control Room (CCR). The results of the trending data will then be identified whether
the vibration in Induced Draft Fan has increased, if the vibration ≥ 5.6 mm/s is declared an alarm and if
the vibration ≥ 7.1 mm/s then the unit trip or must be stopped. Based on the results of research during
industrial practice in Banten 2 PLTU Labuan there were 2 conditions in the IDF, namely when there was a
disturbance with a height of X and Y side vibrations of 22.5 mm/s, and conditions after improvement with
the height of X vibration side that is, an average of 4.2 mm/s and Y side averaging 4.1 mm/s. The high
vibration is affected by the damage of several IDF components, caused by the amount of ash remaining
combustion that enters the IDF which causes abrasion of the impeller blade.

ABSTRACT
Effective vocational education is a dream for students, especially the community and parties involved in
vocational education. Vocational schools are required to graduate their students according to what is
needed by the industry in the field. Vocational education is expected to collaborate with industry to jointly
develop or develop curriculum so that there is no deviation between the SMK and the industry. The
purpose of this study is to find effective and efficient vocational education indicators. The research
method used is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The results of the study found in the
characteristics of effective SMKs that are the basis for developing school performance indicators can be
grouped into six aspects, namely: (1) Program for improving vocational student achievement; (2) Practice
learning both theory and practice; (3) School leadership; (4) Staff development and development; (5)
Environmental conditions and academic climate in SMK; and (6) The participation of parents in the
administration of education. SMK Negeri 2 Kotif Palopo is one of the vocational schools in the field of
technology that is professional in graduating students. In this case, the graduates of SMK Negeri 2 Kotif
Palopo have been scattered everywhere, especially in local industries and large industries in Indonesia,
especially in Makassar City and North Sulawesi.

ABSTRACT
Cooling system is something that is already familiar to the people of Indonesia, both in domestic and
industrial use. The cooling system functions to reduce the temperature of a room so that the temperature
is as desired. The development of air conditioners is increasingly modern. The use of air conditioners (AC)
is growing rapidly so that the CFCs produced affect the environment which can cause the ozone layer to be
damaged and cause global warming. Therefore, there is a need for research related to the level of energy
use. This study discusses the Energy Efficiency Ratio test to realize a government program that is "one
family one number testing". Retrieval of data in this report is by testing the split type air conditioner,
where this test aims to obtain an energy-saving star label on the air conditioner. All tests are carried out at
the AC Chamber Laboratory located at the Center for Energy Conversion Technology (B2TKE) - BPPT
which is a professional energy conversion testing center in Indonesia. The testing process is carried out in
a structured way from initial checking of test materials, preparation of tests, testing to analysis of test
results. Based on the test analysis results, it can be concluded that the Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) value
to get the energy saving sign star label and the test results obtained the Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER)
value of 11,805 Btu / h and get a four star.

ABSTRACT

In Solar Water Heaters require collectors to absorb solar radiation. This absorbed radiation is
useful for heating fluid (water) which is used to heat water for domestic use. To get the desired
water temperature, the collector must meet certain criteria. In this test, conducted in the Testing
Laboratory of Solar Water Heater B2TKE-BPPT for 3 days at 08.30 to 16.00 WIB using a flat plate
collector covering an area of 2 m2 with a tank capacity of 150 liters, testing refers to SNI 3021-
1992 1st edition. The data taken are Solar Radiation (W/m 2), Ambient Temperature (T-amb),
Temperature of Inlet Collector (T-in), Water Temperature Out of Collector (T-out) using the help
of sensors that have been installed in accordance with the provisions and data generated will be
managed via a computer every 30 minutes interval on an ongoing basis. This test, obtained results
that the daily average of the efficiency of a flat plate collector of 2 m 2 is 46.55%, which means that
a solar panel is only able to absorb 46.55% of the solar radiation that illuminates the solar
collector. For optimal results, testing should be carried out during clear weather so that collector
efficiency can be achieved.

32oC to 60oC, for example 40oC, 50oC, 60oC.
Changing the thermal-switch must be done
every day in order to obtain water input at a
certain temperature. Data is recorded from
an average of 300-600 samples in 30 minutes.
The data recorded for the calculation
is presented in tabular form. The

ABSTRACT

The milling machine in the workshop of Bandung Manufacturing Polytechnic works not too
optimally in the process of the incision. This is due to the disappearance of two rotary table lock
milling machine which makes the cutting process less than perfect. This study attempts to make
a rotary table lock milling machines schaublin 13. The stages in this study are the study of
literature, making work drawings, preparing tools and materials, and execution. Data obtained
in the process of making the rotary table lock was analyzed qualitative descriptive. The results of
this study are (1) there are several parameters that must be considered such as spindle rotation,
feeding motion, and depth of cut, (2) the milling process must be carried out in accordance with
the procedure to ensure the operator and engine safety, (3) the milling process must be carried
out carefully so that the workpiece can match to the work drawings. Perseverance in the milling
process is needed for maximum results

ABSTRACT
Wind energy as one of the new renewable energies that has considerable potential in Indonesia is
known by the rapid development of wind power plants in Indonesia. The windmill blade which is
one of the main components of the windmill has a role as the conversion of wind potential energy
into motion energy to eventually become electrical energy that is influenced by the shape of the
windmill blade of the windmill. NACA (National Aeronautical Committee Advisory) in charge of
aeronautics has standards regarding varying airfoil shapes. A comparison of variations of 4-digit
type airfoils (NACA 4412), 5 digits (NACA 23012) and series 16 (NACA 16-212) to determine the
value of Cl / Cd from the variation of NACA airfoil types. The results of simulations carried out
using Qblade software showed that the value of Cl / Cd to the highest alpha of the three types of
airfoils was NACA 4412 with a value of 134, alpha 6 and the Cp value for the highest TSR was 0.44
at TSR 5.5. Furthermore, the NACA 4412 airfoil blades can be developed by making lighter
material variations so that the windmill blades are easier to spin so that the resulting power
becomes more maximal.
